The Information Office of Xi'an Municipal People's Government released the city's first batch of 33 application scenario opportunities at a special news conference on July 28.
The opportunities fall under two categories: industrial development and people's wellbeing, covering four sub‑fields: eight for scientific and technological innovation, 13 for strengthening industrial chains, four for consumption upgrading, and eight for improving people's wellbeing.
By systematically releasing public scenario resources, they act as a leading example and stimulate market-driven innovation through public demand.
At the conference, Zhang Junsheng, deputy director‑general of Xi'an municipal development and reform commission, said that application scenarios serve as comprehensive practical carriers for verifying the industrial‑scale deployment of new technologies, new products, and new business forms, as well as supporting infrastructure, business models, institutional arrangements, and policies.
Xi'an will continue to update scenario‑based opportunities, expand scenario opening‑up, and build sustained momentum for expanding new quality productive forces, thereby supporting the city's high-quality growth.
