Automobile manufacturers in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, have seized the opportunities presenting themselves in overseas markets and managed to drive up their exports, since the start of the year.
In the first two months, the city's auto exports continued to maintain rapid growth, with 5,767 units sent abroad valued at 1.66 billion yuan ($240.75 million), scoring respective increases of 214.6 percent and 205.1 percent year-on-year, according to Xi'an customs.

In order to support the establishment of Xi'an's self-owned brand export industry supply chain, the Guanzhong customs affiliated to Xi'an customs launched a series of measures to galvanize and speed up the development of the local auto industry.
"Our company is a high-tech enterprise specializing in the production of off-highway mining vehicles," said Wang Liyuan, a sales person at Shaanxi Tongli Heavy Industry Co.
"In recent years, more off-highway dump trucks have been exported to the ASEAN market,” Wang added.
The Guanzhong customs processed three RCEP certificates of origin during the period for 50 off-highway dump trucks exported to Indonesia by the company, achieving a tariff reduction of 3.2 million yuan.
Shaanxi Automobile Group Co mainly exports heavy construction vehicles and spare parts. With the help of Guanzhong customs, the company's export orders increased by more than 170 percent year-on-year, while actual sales of heavy trucks increased by more than 150 percent year-on-year in the first quarter.
